The 2016 World Sport Series season will be the fifth GPVWC World Sport Series season. Kevin Siggy will enter the season as defending Drivers' champion, however the reigning Teams' champions, Walk Racing, will not return following the announcement of their closure in late 2015. This means that there will be a guaranteed fifth different Teams' champion in the five years the series has been run.

New entries

Returning entries

  • Viking Racing withdrew part-way through the 2015 season but were able to return to the series for the 2016 season.
  • Edonis Engineering, after missing the 2015 season submission deadline forcing a 'sponsored' entry through YTF1, returned to the grid as a full fledged entry.
