AB Racing is a newly founded Formula Challenge team competing in the 2019 Formula Challenge season. The team was only created in late August of 2018. Team Boss David Carter has worked frantically to get the team prepared for the 2019 season, and managed to find drivers and sponsors before the end of 2018 season.

Carter said in a recent interview:

"The fact we have got our team together so early and we can all now prepare well in advance means we can all gel and prepare ourselves really well before the first race in Australia. Also to get 2 drivers of such talent and experience in a brand new team is quite something and we are all looking forward to the challenge that is ahead of us. It won't be easy for sure, there are some teams on the grid this year with a lot of experience and some very quick drivers so we need to be on our A-game from the first race."

AB Racing have signed Guernseys Jonathan Holmes, as well as the extremely well known Dutch driver in the GPVWC paddock, Menno Klont.

The teams Reserve driver will be Daniel Hurlock, he is brand new to single seater racing and will be looking to gain experience this year. Hurlocks previous experience has been in touring car racing hwere he has been very successful at, AB Racing are hoping that he can take part in a few races this year and learn and develop his skills in testing. Later on in the season, Daniel made a move to Santen Motorsports. His replacement in the reserve role was MDR Co-Owner Josh Downard

They have also been on the hunt for a development driver, and have signed another English driver George Whitehouse. He will be racing for Kellamity MTR in the 2019 Formula Challenge season, but will be looking to earn a race seat at AB Racing for 2020. George has raced in the real life Daniel Riccardo Series and will bring his racing knowledge to the team.

Carter added:

"I've seen George race a couple of times and he has a bright future ahead of him for sure, his attitude is amazing and is always looking to improve. Of course George is still young and will gain a huge amount this year. The fact that he will not only get the advice and tips from Jonathan Holmes and Menno Klont, but to also race these guys every round, so it gives him a consistent target to aim for and I can't wait to see how he does this year."
