Deltec Racing Team is a GPVWC Constructor owned by Marius van Wyk. The outfit is based in Cape Town, South Africa. Deltec Racing was founded in 2005, after having competed successfully in the FSR Online League between 2006 and 2008. Our vision has always been to give opportunities to young, aspiring drivers who want to make a success, driving in online racing sports. Together with Dethan Rootring, who heads our PR and Race Strategist role, we have been steadily improving since 2014. Deltec Racing Team was granted entry to the Career Ladder Series for the 2015 Formula Challenge Season.

Early Years

Deltec Racing Team has its roots in 2004 with the late Antonio Racing Team. In 2005 Deltec Racing Team joined the Formula Sim Racing (FSR) League. As a 1st time rookie, Marius finished 2nd in the Pro75 FSR (Offline) World Series. We continued in 2006 in FSR, having 2 teams in the field. Also in 2006, we were approached by Armaroli Simulators Brazil to be the seat holder for Team South Africa in the Armaroli ASRWC WC Series. We agreed. Together with Zaahir Essa and Craig Hattingh, Team South Africa finished 2nd in the ASRWC Series. 2007 saw the best result for the Deltec Racing and sister team Deltec Springbok Racing Team in FSR with a 4th and 8th place season finish. Hendrich van Rensburg & Riaan van der Westhuizen were amongst the regular drivers. 2008 was the last year Deltec Racing participated in the FSR Series.
