Jarrod Vanderweide is a Australian sim-racer who participates for EJ Engineering in the 2016 GPVWC Masters Series.

Early Years

I have been racing on Rfactor now for a few years, I started with a ferrari non force feedback wheel, then moved on to a Logitech G27. I began my online career at Simleague.de in the FS3 category. My first race was a disaster, but nonetheless i enjoyed it and i got hooked. My second fs3 race gave me my first podium with a second place at mid ohio in a field of 20 experienced drivers. After a few races i had requested a drive in the leagues main series, FS1. I was offered a drive at Hinss Motorsport where i completed the FS1 and FS2 season with valuable results, helping our team take out the constructors title in FS2 and 4th in FS1, i finished 4th in the FS2 championship and 6th in the FS1 championship.

2015

Last year i began my GPVWC career in the Open series, i achieved relatively good performances with a few midfield finishes. Formula challenge was a step up for me, competing against 32 drivers. I had not been very good with speed and pace here. I am now entered in the GPVWC Masters series, and finished 11th place, this came as a surprise for me as it was my first RF2 race.

2016

Jarrod competes in the GPVWC Masters Series for EJ Engineering. He was alos offered a spot with Deltec Racing Team as a test/ reserve driver in early 2016 for the Formula Sim Racing League. I hope the experience i can gain will benefit my online career.
