MadCape Racing Team is a GPVWC Constructor owned by Xavier de Carvalho and is based South Africa.

The Early Years

The team began as a touring car team in 2012. In 2013 added endurance racing as a focus for it's endeavors. In 2014 the team experimented with Open Wheel racing and went through a tough season, coming away with just 1 podium finish. During 2014, the team also managed to grow to over 20 members, and managed to grow it's iRacing division into a successful and competitive newcomer on the platform.

GPVWC 2014 ITC Season

The team entered GPVWC for the first time in 2014 as a constructor in the ITC, with Jimi Hughes and Xavier de Carvalho. Unfortunately the 2 drivers were not able to accomplish all of the goals which they had set for themselves and the team, but they were impressed with the level of competition at GPVWC and decided to apply for a spot in the Career Ladder.

GPVWC 2015 Formula Challenge Season

The team was granted entry to the career ladder for the 2015 Formula Challenge season. They managed to score a number of podium finishes and wins in the maiden Career Ladder season with Lars Brugman and Robert Wiesenmuller. Lars Brugman finished the season as runner-up which contributed greatly to the teams 3rd place in the Constructors Championship.

GPVWC 2016 Formula Challenge Season

MadCape have been granted entry for a second season in the Career Ladder for 2016.
