History

2015

Supercup - Smile Power Racing

Rautter was announced as the second primary driver for Smile Power Racing after the first round in Melbourne. His first race in Bahrein saw him scoring no points, but at the next event at the Circuit de Catalunya he finished both races in the points. At the second race of the Portuguese Grand Prix he was as high as seventh place, but ran out of fuel on the last lap of the race. He was able to keep up with the front drivers at the Turkish Grand Prix and passed Jason Muscat on the last lap to bring home fifth position, the teams best result till there. He was set to get a similar position in race two, but was taken out of the race by Tom van der Voort after a poor start. He only got one point out of the Monaco Grand Prix and missed the next event in Canada, but finished both races in the points at his return in Silverstone. Rautter finished in similar positions in Austria, after going for the alternative strategy, to start on the hard compound tyre. The next race in Hungary saw him taking his best result of the season, finishing a very solid 8th in race one, after fighting off Menno Klont and getting pole position for race two. He lost positions right at the start of the race, but was able to secure another fifth place. He only scored twice out of the next eight races, retiring in both races of the Singapore Grand Prix and missing the race in Japan completely. At the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix he was finishing in the points in both races, but struggled with more retirements at the last two events. With 64 total points, Rautter finished the season as 22nd in the championship

2016
