Risto Kappet is an Estonian sim-racer in the GPVWC. He currently drives for Streetfighter Racing Systems in the 2016 Supercup and World GT seasons and for Vod:Bul Racing in the 2016 World Sport Series. He is also a reserve driver for Vod:Bul in Superleague. Prior to this, he was a part of Walk Racing and drove for them in all series at GPVWC.

2015

Supercup

Risto's first Supercup season consisted mainly of him learning how to drive open-wheel Formula cars - and as such he was trailing behind Walk team-mateRuud Heesterbeek for most of the season. He adapted to the cars quickly however - so well, in fact, that he was one of the main candidates for the championship win alongside Heesterbeek after the summer break, but would ultimately lose out to the Dutchman.

World Sport Series

The 2015 World Sport Series seemed like an easy grab for Risto, after winning the 2014 Virtual Carrera Cup at Touring Pro Series from Tim Heinemann, but numerous mistakes, reverse grids and enduring maximum weight ballast for most of the season meant a net 2nd place behind Kevin Siggy. Very embarrassing.

World GT

Risto was called to help Walk Racing out for the last 2 races in Silverstone and COTA, replacing Burak Soylu and winning both races by half a minute.

Atlantic Series

Kappet was called in to help Walk take the teams' title in the 2015 Atlantic Series season with 2 rounds to go. In his first race in Sebring he showed top-5 pace, however framerate issues plagued him and he finished 18th. At the final round at the Circuit of the Americas, he was running in the top 3 - but had underfuelled his car and dropped to 5th.

2016

With Walk's departure from GPVWC, Risto was snapped up by Vod:Bul Racing for 2016. His endeavours with the team will however be cut short in the middle of the season, as he has to depart for mandatory army conscription on the 4th of July for 11 months.

Supercup

On February 7th it was announced that Risto will drive the #67 Streetfighter Racing Systems car for the 2016 Supercup season - partnering David Francic. His first win of the season came in Round 4 at Barcelona, achiveing Streetfighter's first ever 1-2 in the process.

World GT

For the 2016 World GT season, Risto also drove for SRS systems. In the first 3 races of the season he dominated, winning all of them.

World Sport Series

Risto also raced for Vod:Bul in the 2016 World Sport Series season. He and Vod:Bul currently lead both championships after 2 events.

Superleague

Risto stepped in for reigning Superleague Drivers' Champion Philipp Puschke at the third round in Russia and finished 8th.
