Robert Wiesenmüller is a German simracer who manages THR and does guest starts for several teams throughout the GPVWC divisions. Whilst being a respected and successful simracer in other communities, his GPVWC career has been complete shambles and it is a mystery to himself why he has not been banned.

Sim-Racing Career elsewhere

Wiesenmüller's simracing career began back in 2006 on Race - The WTCC Game. He drove for the Dutch Roaring Pipes Maniacs team. After some success and some years without simracing, Robert came to TouringProSeries in 2012. In June 2012 he joined THR, and since then he has established himself as one of the most successful drivers, clinching the 2013 Virtual Mini Challenge and the 2015 Virtual Super Tourers championship titles. Other successes include the 2012 F3 and 2013 Mini Cooper title in the french community SRE as well as a win in the 24 Hours of Le Mans at Racedepartment, alongside David Jundt.

Formula Challenge

2013

Wiesenmüller tested the Formula Challenge car pre-season with Ice Cold Racing but he didn't like it. However, Wiesenmüller joined last minute in Monaco, re-installing the mod 30 minutes before qualifying, replacing Erik Tveit. The first race was a big success with a 5th place in the rain, until in the second race a lagging car took all his chances. He was not seen again until Spa-Francorchamps, where he joined with 1 minute to go in qualifying and still started ahead of Ron Squire. His final run of the season was in Magny-Cours, until problems between his teammate Mike Bell and the Ice Cold Racing team directors caused the team to pull out.

2014

Wiesenmüller tested the new car and he didn't even hate it. Despite being one of the slowest drivers at the THR-internal test session at Imola, Wiesenmüller got a full season drive. Because most of the other THR drivers are pussies! Wiesenmüller actually did a good event in Melbourne and scored a double podium, but then his wheel broke and he didn't bother to turn up again.

2015

MadCape Racing Team offered Wiesenmüller a guest drive for the Spanish round, in which Wiesenmüller scored another podium. He then drove in Istanbul as well, where he won the first race, scoring his first FC victory. In the second race he was battling for the win again, until he got wrecked by Olli Pelkonen. Afterwards he wasn't seen again.

Supercup

2013

Mike Bell told Wiesenmüller that he would be better than him in formula cars, causing Wiesenmüller to sign up as a last minute replacement. Wiesenmüller joined PB Racing or whatever the name of that team was for the Abu Dhabi round. He was pretty slow but still beat Mike Bell with a legendary 14th place finish.

2015

Wiesenmüller refused full-season offers from Smile Power Racing and Measuric Racing in an attempt to stay as uncommitted as possible. He was hired by Smile Power Racing as a reserve driver for the first round of Melbourne, which turned out to be a chaotic event in rainy conditions. For whatever reason (probably because the other drivers are noobs), Wiesenmüller briefly led the first race before finishing 7th, and 10th in the second race. Nonetheless, Wiesenmüller decided to end his Supercup campaign after this one round due to lazyness.

Masters

2013

Mike Bell told Wiesenmüller that rFactor 2 was awesome and that he (Bell) was one of the greatest in the Meganes, causing Wiesenmüller to sign up as a last minute replacement. Wiesenmüller joined Edonis Engineering for the Sebring race. Despite bad qualifying he beat Mike Bell, finishing in a respectable 4th place. A 5th followed in the next race, until he smashed off Philip Morby in a rage move in race 3. For reasons unknown Wiesenmüller was back in the Symmons Plains round, qualifying 4th. He finished 2nd in the first race, then crashed with Oscar Hardwick while battling for the lead in the second race, before winning the season final.

2016

Wiesenmüller made a return to the series, now with the Audi TT cup cars, but he was completely garbage and was replaced after one round.

WSS

2015

Wiesenmüller was looking for a guest drive for the Portimao race and managed to secure a contract with a team, which fired him again after 2 hours. He then drove for Woods Racing for two rounds and got some solid unspectacular points finishes.

2016

Wiesenmüller was hired by Ice Cold Racing which also employed a permanent reserve driver, preparing for the likely case of a ragequit. Wiesenmüller missed the first round, but got a 2nd place finish in Spain. In Turkey, despite doing no practice and qualifying 16th, he won the second race.
