I have to say that Arela site is a real find - not only is it still live after 10 years, it also contains some race images that I'll upload to the wiki shortly. :) --Chris williamson 10:11, 8 August 2011 (UTC) | I have to say that Arela site is a real find - not only is it still live after 10 years, it also contains some race images that I'll upload to the wiki shortly. :) --Chris williamson 10:11, 8 August 2011 (UTC) | ||

+ | Fantastic stuff Chris. Arela's website wasn't working properly for me, but I loaded it up in Internet Explorer and stuck on 'compatibility mode' and hey presto, the menu links worked! We need to confirm the points systems for 2002 onward now. I seem to remember 2002 had a point for fastest lap and pole also, but the points were... more stingy than the previous two years. --Mal McKee 22:30, 8 August 2011 (UTC) |

Been going through the archives with Wayback Machine again and I've found a few pages from both the original GPVWC site and it's successor, as well as a few team sites relating to 2001. Although the season was cut short there's surprisingly a lot of stuff relating to 2001 and so hopefully it can fill in a few gaps.

- Arela GP site (Still live!): http://arela.tripod.com/
Seems they tweaked the points system for 2001 with the top 11 scoring - 20,16,13,10,8,6,5,4,3,2,1 plus 1pt for pole and 1pt for fastest lap.
I have to say that Arela site is a real find - not only is it still live after 10 years, it also contains some race images that I'll upload to the wiki shortly. :) --Chris williamson 10:11, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
