* [[Red 5 Racing]] became the first of the Supercup teams to unveil their {{SC|2012}} lineup. The team have opted to test out two recent newcomers to the [[GPVWC]]  in the shape of Masters drivers [[Jon MacLean]] and [[Lee Massey]].

* Bids for places in the {{SC|2012}} Supercup have been reviewed and four new teams will join the lineup. They include [[CSG Racing]] who return to GPVWC after a year out, alonside Masters teams [[Tiger Express Motorsports]] and [[NRT Racing]]. Newly established team [[Innervision]] take [[Nordsjoen]]'s place as {{SC|2011}} contenders [[Malta Force]] and [[Nijo Racing]] withdraw.

* [[Malta Force]] managed to finish the season in style with British driver [[Lewis Redshaw]] taking the win ahead of teammate [[Bart De Vos]] in the [[2011 Supercup Singapore Grand Prix|Singpore Grand Prix]]. [[Ojay Clark]] took a controversial 3rd place and is one of several drivers under investigation by the stewards.

* The Supercup Drivers' title was decided at the [[2011 Supercup Dutch Grand Prix|Dutch Grand Prix]] as [[Bart De Vos]] swept to another race win while his only title rival [[Pavel Loknovski]] was unable to attend. [[Jason Muscat]] and [[Tom Parker]] completed the podium.
