Water Blue Racing is a sim-racing team currently owned by Georgios Davakos and based in Greece.
Water Blue Racing was founded by Georgios Davakos on the 28th of January, 2009. Water Blue Racing was created for a league called American F3000 Grand Prix Championship (AF3kGPC) but after a season in AF3kGPC the team continued and participated in many other leagues. A year later Water Blue Racing joined the AF3kGPC but the league was now called Formula Pro World Series (FPWS). This time WBR were more prepared then ever and had enough drivers to sign up a second team, Water Blue Racing Grand Prix. After a competitive season in FPWS with both WBR and WBR GP, the team started to grow in a very rapid pace and have become today's biggest Greek sim-racing team on the world.
Water Blue Racing has over twenty drivers and have participated in many leagues like AF3kGPC, Formula Pro World Series, GPVWC, Sim-Racing Team Challenge and many more. Currently Water Blue Racing is participating in leagues like GPVWC Supercup, Formula Pro Pacific Series, RaceDepartment Le Mans Series, American GT Championship, RaceDepartment GT Championship, Sim-Racing Team Challenge and the C-Online WTCC 2011 Championship.
In the beginning of the 2011 Water Blue Racing driver and manager, Georgios Davakos joined GPVWC and raced in the Supercup for Nordsjoen Racing. After completing three races, Davakos joined Water Blue Racing who had signed up for Supercup and was now driving along side Ihab Abbas. After four rounds in SuperCup, Water Blue Racing have proven to be a competitive team after having their first ever podium finish in the 2011 French Grand Prix. The team's goal is to gather as many points possible for the first season in GPVWC.
For 2012 there have been rumours that Water Blue Racing might join the Superleague but until official announcement by team manager, Georgios Davakos this will remain a rumour.
