The 2022 Formula Sprint 2 will be the 1st GPVWC Formula Sprint 2 season. The name Formula Sprint 2 was created to replace the GPVWC Formula Challenge Series which did run for 10 seasons.

Calendar
The 2022 calendar follows the 16-round limit introduced in 2019. The first round took place at Imola and the last will take place in Brazil, with each race taking place on a Tuesday.
Testing
The 2022 testing schedule is as follows:

Calendar changes
- The Chinese, Indian, German, French and United States Grands Prix were removed from the calendar.
