Lukas Euler bounced back from a difficult race at Monaco to take his fourth win of the season in Montreal, with teammate Nick Rowland making it another Midnight Motorsport 1-2 finish. Meanwhile, a very interesting Constructors battle had formed between Red Archer, Green Stripes Racing and Kernow Sport for fourth position, a battle sure to rage on for the remainder of the season.
Draig Racing driver Lee Morris interrupted a 5-race winning streak for Midnight Motorsport by winning the 2012 Monaco Grand Prix, while Lukas Euler's retirement threw the battle for the Championship lead wide open. However, without doubt the biggest news story was the shock resignation of reigning champion Joe Consiglio, stating he felt it was the right time to retire from sim racing.
A rather chaotic Hungarian Grand Prix featured several front running drivers suffering setbacks, including Lukas Euler who had to settle for 6th. Nick Rowland won his second race in a row and takes a narrow lead in the championship. Dave Carr-Smith had a great return to action, securing 2nd place and the first ever Superleague points for Green Stripes.
GPVWC today announced that the two main Series in its portfolio will have a title sponsor this year. News are that Australian printing firm SimInk has agreed to partner the Superleague and Supercup for the remainder of the 2012 seasons.
