The French Sport Series event has been held at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, Magny-Cours since the 2013 World Sport Series season. The 2013 iteration of the event was significant as it saw both the Drivers' and Constructors' titles decided. Oscar Hardwick for Woods Racing, at the time, won his first major GPVWC title after outscoring main rival Alex Cooper by enough with a race win whilst Midnight Motorsport picked up their second Constructors' title of the year thanks to the final efforts of Cooper and Tom Parker. The 2013 round was also significant as it saw FA Racing take their first win at GPVWC thanks to Jordan Weekes.
