The 2012 Masters Series season got under way with 3 rounds at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza for the Monza Masters. Each race had a different winner and resulted in Dave Carr-Smith taking a narrow lead over Erik Tveit in the standings.  

The 2011 season concluded at Donington Park as Simon Cattell took the Drivers' title after a winning both the Sprint and Feature races. MMC Racing did enough to claim their 2nd Constructors' title despite a strong finish from rivals Tiger Express Motorsports.  

The return of the Masters Series to the Mount Panorama Circuit for the 2011 Bathurst Masters led to some hard fought battles and ultimately wins for Simon Cattell and Jason Muscat. Cattell now is within touching distance of claiming the 2011 title.  

After the midseason break the drivers return to action at the Watkins Glen Masters. Steve Davis scored a win on his debut after title favorite Simon Cattell was hampered by fuel issues in the Feature Race. Jarl Teien took the win in the Sprint Race.  

A dramatic week followed the Istanbul Masters as several drivers fell foul of the race stewards, with Jack Keithley and Jason Muscat eventually being crowned as race victors. Keithley now holds a slim lead over rival Simon Cattell.
