The 2007 GPVWC season was the eighth Superleague season in league history. It ran from early March and ended in late October after seventeen Grands Prix.
The 2007 season was significant in that, for the first time in league history, there were no changes in teams between the end of the previous season and the start of the new one. No teams had departed, and no teams had joined.
2007 was also noted as being the latest start to a pre-season in league history at the time, with new testing and development rules introduced that will allowed teams to purchase car improvements instead of earning them solely through on-track testing.
