The 2025 Formula Sprint 2 will be the 4th GPVWC Formula Sprint 2 season. The name Formula Sprint 2 was created to replace the GPVWC Formula Challenge Series which did run for 10 seasons from 2012 to 2021.

Teams and drivers
Calendar
The 2025 calendar follows the usual 16-round limit. The first will take place at Australian and the last will take place in Abu Dhabi which is a change from Brazil which hosted the final round during the last few season with each race taking place on a Tuesday.

- The Chinese, San Marino, Austrian and Azerbaijan Grands Prix were removed from the calendar.
- The German Grand Prix venue changed from the Hockenheimring to the Nurburgring for the GPVWC 2025 season.
- The United States Grand Prix venue changed from the Circuit of the Americas to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the GPVWC 2025 season.
- The Brazilian Grand Prix venue lost its place as the last round on the calender for the GPVWC 2025 season.
