A-Racing is a former GPVWC Constructor who took part in the very first GPVWC season and were named after team founder Andrew Dickson. A-Racing won the inaugural GPVWC Constructors' Championship in 2000.
History
A-Racing was one of the original teams to enter the GPVWC in the 2000 Superleague season and contested all 9 rounds of the championship with the same driver lineup, which consisted of Chris Connolly and Richard Dickson. Both drivers had a strong season and despite not winning a race that season, their consistent results meant that they took the Constructors' Championship from rivals BA Racing and Silver Angels with one race to spare.
The 2001 season looked promising for the team as an early launch they revealed that they had signed promising German driver Christian Neumann to partner Richard Dickson for the season. However just a few weeks later the team dramatically withdrew from the championship, citing that Richard was now unable to race for most of the season and so they would prefer to withdraw on a high note. Within a few days A-Racing Press Officer and former driver Chris Connolly announced that he would be taking over the team and it was subsequently rebranded as Connolly Virtual Racing Team.
