Martex Technologies is the brand name of the engine supplier branch, originally developed by Nordsjøen Racing for Superleague competition, which serves as the exclusive engine supplier for the Superleague Lights championship. The brand was launched at the beginning of the 2013 season, and its first product was the Martex MX-01 engine which powered, besides Nordsjøen, Halcyon Racing and Torrent Motorsports. The Martex MX-02 engine was developed for the 2014 season and powered Green Stripes Racing and ST Racing besides Nordsjøen. However, at the end of the controversy-laden bidding process for the 2015 engines, Nordsjøen was the only team running the Martex MX-03. Under existing rules, this would have left the engine and Nordsjøen potentially critically handicapped, but sweeping reforms of engine regulations introduced greater parity. This saw Nordsjøen remain competitive in 2015, leading to both the team's and Martex's first victory in over a season, plus a slew of podiums and a pole position.

In 2016, Martex again powered Nordsjøen alone, being unable to attract any new customers. This did not stop Martex power going on to win both the drivers and teams' championships at the end of the year.

In 2017, Martex was able to attract one customer, the erstwhile newcomers Wauters Automotive, who scored their first victory that year. Nordsjøen added three more race victories of their own and Martex had the distinction of having its two teams finish second and third in the championship.

In 2018, Martex had its popularity completely transformed. That year's engine, the MX-06, was by far the most prolific engine, powering no less than seven teams - literally half the grid. However, this did not equate considerable success. Epic Racing, in their debut season in Superleague, very impressively won the very first race and scored a total of five podiums. They were, however, the only Martex-powered team to score any podiums that year. Nordsjøen announced at the end of 2018 that it was bringing its long and illustrious history in the Superleague to an end, thereby seeing the end of Martex in that competition as well.

The Martex brand would, however, live on as the sole engine supplier for the new Superleague Lights championship in 2019. In that season, the MX-06L engine would be supplied to all teams on a customer basis.
