Matthew Allington is a British sim-racer currently racing in the GPVWC. He is the owner of the YTF1 team, often driving for the team in various events, and in 2015 served as test and reserve driver for Kernow Sport in the Superleague.

He drove for Enterprise GP in the 2nd half of the 2013 World Sport Series season with a best finish of 4th place after leading in the wet at Silverstone. He quickly gained a Romain Grosjean-like reputation of being quick but inconsistent. He was retained for the 2014 season but parted ways with Enterprise GP following a troubled start to the season: the new Flat6 mod was not to Allington's taste.

Allington has tested Superleague cars on a number of occasions: the first of whom being for Woods Racing prior to the 2014 season, providing backup in place of the absent Danny Asbury. A drive for Green Stripes Racing in the 2014 Young Driver Test was next, followed by several outings prior to the 2015 season, testing for Kernow Sport following the departure of Jayden Wright from the team. Kernow has since promoted Allington to their test and reserve driver role full-time. Allington got the chance to make his Superleague race debut in the 2015 Portuguese Grand Prix, substituting for Bart de Vos. Later outings in the Belgian, Italian and Japanese Grands Prix yielded a best result of 19th place.

Allington has also assumed the role of part-time driver for his own team in the various championships. In the World Sport Series, having found some speed in the Flat6 cars, he took his first GPVWC podium at Silverstone in 2015, having led a GPVWC race for the first time in two years. This was followed by a podium in the Belgian Touring Cup.

He has also made one-off appearances for teams including Cosmo Autosport, Karjala Racing and YTF1 in various series.
