Twitter commentary
The questions have literally been pouring in....heres one I made up. "Who was your driver of the day?"......I'm going with David Stanton.
Well im gonna stay on a for a while longer to post some reactions, if you want to tweet me you know how to do so, I might even RT you.
Mark Wicks still going on about his finishing record to anyone that will listen, bless him.
Chris Allen just misses out on points in 11th, McConkey comes home battered and last in 12th. 12 retirements today & Ponissi wasnt even here.
DCS is 5th, the two Stantons are 6th & 7th, Perkins comes home 8th Clark 9th after his first lap incident. Mark Fuller rounds out the points.
Lap 71 - David Jundt comes home in 3rd, thats his 4th podium in a row. Lee Morris 4th, title lead indeed down to 14 points.
Lap 71 - Joe Consiglio wins Round 15 of the GPVWC Superleague at Brazil from team mate Pavel Loknovski. A few donuts to celebrate.
Lap 70 - 2 laps to go, Consiglio by nearly a minute from team mate Pavel, Jundt 3rd, Morris 4th, DFS...DCS 5th, Mark Stanton a great 6th.
Lap 69 - Clark is closing in on Perkins for 8th, thats going to go to the wire. Thats the only battle right now by the looks of it.
Lap 68 - I think Morris has now settled for 4th after his hairy moment (not a euphemism). Fuller still 10th, D Stanton 7th, thats 5 points.
Lap 66 - Barring a miracle this is now an Nordsjoen 1-2 which would be the first of the season for the Norwegian based team.
Lap 66 - Morris gives Jundt the place back, sporting behavior we like to see. Consiglio ironically is now box seat for Morris vs Jundt Rnd6.
Lap 65 - Morris half spins attempting an overtake, Jundt catches him on re-entry and there is slight contact. Jundt spins.
Lap 64 - Jundt is in the mid to low 1.09's, Morris & Pavel are in the mid to late 10's, he should catch them before the end.
Lap 63 - Jundt is slowly creeping up on these two, thats the last thing Morris needs. Consiglio has a cigar & slippers out front.
Lap 62 - Morris remember is in the no R&D Draig, perhaps has to run more wing than he would like because the Ferrari is a decent lump.
Lap 61 - Morris gets by Pavel twice now at the first corner but he just can't hold it down the straights.
Lap 60 - McConkey is still circulating, 4 laps down but I am sure he is enjoying himself humming movie theme tunes probably.
Lap 59 - Consiglio leads by just 51 seconds.....just. He needs his team mate to hold off Morris for another 12 laps.
Lap 58 - Stanton brothers are 6th and 7th, probably holding their breath on every lap waiting for a connection loss.
Lap 57 - Morris vs Pavel is well and truly on, thats the battle for 2nd.
Lap 56 - DCS right up behind the leader trying to unlap himself, looks to be faster at this point as Consiglio tries to pace himself.
Lap 55 - Jundt is now 10 seconds behind Morris, not sure if he had issues with traffic but thats a lot for an undercut pitstop.
Lap 53 - Its gonna be close....he does it with some nice low 1.09 laps in clear air. He now has his sights on Pavel for 2nd.
Lap 52 - Morris really has to string it out now, qualifying laps to try and jump Jundt. He needs to clear Jundt to avoid the tow. He pits.
Lap 51 - Jundt pits and releases Morris for atleast a lap, he exits well behind Pavel into 4th.
Lap 50 - Pavel pits from 2nd, he will fall to 4th by the looks of it with Morris and Jundt yet to stop again. DCS looks settled in 5th.
Lap 49 - Clark has worked his way back up to 9th after his first lap incident, not sure how high he can get because timings just say +1 lap.
Lap 48 - Consiglio makes his 2nd stop, he might get home from there. He still leads by over 18 seconds from team mate Pavel.
Lap 47 - On the fly maths tell me if things stayed the same and they probably wont, Morris title lead would be down to just 14 points.
Lap 44 - So final points place right now falls to Fuller, David Stanton still putting in a fine effort in 7th right now.
Lap 42 - Consiglio so far peerless out front, he has lapped up to DCS in 5th. And those wondering what DCS is, its not a furniture shop.
Lap 41 - Guess what, Jundt's back past Morris. The Draig just cannot shake the power of the Red Archer on the straight bits.
Lap 41 - Ladies and gentlemen,Ollie Woods is the king of jinxing his own drivers, both times he has tweeted his cars have retired in seconds.
Lap 40 - Morris forces his way past Jundt, finally! He worked hard for that one. Kieran Ryan looks like has retired, down to 12 runners!
Lap 38 - Rowland is caught on the curbs and spins into the wall, thats a DNF from 5th after an excellent race.
Lap 37 - Williamson also retires, might have been involved in the Morgan accident perhaps? I don't know. Consiglio still leads by 33 seconds.
Lap 36 - Rowland must have had an off, he has slipped down to 5th without me spotting it. As Morgan exits stage right at the last corner.
Lap 33 - Quick pitstop for myself, fresh cup of tea ready for the final 40 laps.......oh for god sake, 40 friggin laps still!?
Lap 31 - We have 16 runners remaining, McConkey still last after his contact with Toikka. I think they will be sending the car home in 9 bits.
Lap 29 - Morgan is 9th right now for Computrac, Perkins back with Draig of course is 10th.
Lap 28 - Pavel sweeps around the outside of Rowland for 2nd, nice run off Turn 3. DCS has worked his way back up to 6th.
Lap 27 - Nick Rowland has jumped Pavel for 2nd then, they are +26 to Consiglio. Morris right back where he started against Jundt.
Lap 26 - I have just been told Ponissi who isn't even racing has still managed a smash, he has dropped his biscuit plate reading tweets.
Lap 25 - Last in the order 2 laps down is Ryan McConkey, I won't say anything because its just too easy.
Lap 24 - That looks like a 3 stopper for Consiglio who now digs his claws into Rowland for 2nd. But Pavel, Rowland & Morris all pit.
Lap 23 - Consiglio pits from the lead and exits right into the battle for 3rd, Jundt now right up behind the fresh fueled Nordsjoen.
Lap 22 - This is good defensive work from Jundt, hes not really slowing too much in doing so as they both reel in Rowland again.
Lap 21 - David Stanton pits and exits into 10th, thats still points from there. Morris still hooked onto the back of Jundt.
Lap 19 - Early pitter Mark Stanton is now with DCS trying to get around Fuller, oh and the ST driver spins dropping him to 11th. #jinxed.
Lap 17 - ST Racing who have scored 2 points all season have their cars 6th & 7th right now, superb stuff. I hope I haven't jinxed it.
Lap 16 - Morris is going to have Jundt's rearend etched into his retina at this rate, he just cannot get past the Red Archer on the straight.
Lap 15 - De Vos DNF, its a really high attrition rate right now. Perkins in 11th is the final car still on the lead lap!
Lap 15 - Mark Stanton having a good race, he has snuck up to 6th right now. Quite a big field spread already. And Stanton pits on Lap 15.
Lap 13 - Morris really battling hard with Jundt. The grunt from the Renault engine really making it difficult to pass the Red Archer.
Lap 12 - Thomas exits with a DNF, the game tells me its an accident but I have no idea where or how.
Lap 11 - Notice how I say Pavel and not Loknovski....its just easier alright?
Lap 10 - Looks like DCS took a drive through, Jundt now attacking Rowland for his position back. Consiglio has a 12 second lead over Pavel.
Lap 9 - Rowland literally stuck to the back of Jundt's car and eventually gets past for 3rd. Morris now lines up the Swiss.
Lap 8 - Looks like Walker span on his own, might have stalled, he is out on his debut for TDR anyway.
Lap 7 - Contact and its Morris & DCS, both look to have gotten through it but they might be carrying damage. Ryan Walker now retires.
Lap 6 - Looks like Millar & Muscat have both retired, unknown why but I think both pitted early. DCS retakes Morris for 4th.
Lap 5 - Morris is reeling in the cars in front, he is up to 4th right up Jundt's trumpet. Needs a result here to stop Consiglios title charge.
Lap 4 - ...they crashed, Toikka collected fan unfavorite McConkey who is now wingless. Now its battle of the TDRs and ST's.
Lap 3 - Consiglio already +3 from 2nd. A right old ding dong for 13th going on, 5 car battle with Fuller at the head of it...oh.....
Lap 2 - Now this is a shocker, Mark Wicks DNF. You won't see that everyday folks. Clark exits the pits a country mile behind the pack.
Lap 1 - My spotter tells me it was Wicks and Ojay Clark that got together, Clark loses his wing. Consiglio leads from team mate Pavel.
Lap 1 - A Woods got tangled at the start there, looked like Ryan and thats just after the team manager tweeted me, what a shame.
Start - Are you Rea.....oh what do you care, there off anyway.
So onto the warmup lap, lets see if its a clean one. Hard to see everyone on the first lap so all eyes on Consiglio & Morris, 1st & 6th.
Breaking News: Really unexpected news actually, there will be NO broadcast. Who would have thunk it. Stay tuned here though, *snigger*.
Boosters set to broadcast, we just put some coal in the server, broadcast in t-minus 2 months.
Anyway cars now in the warmup, or as we at the GPVWC like to call it, "The Bitch Session". Times irrelevant so I won't tell you them.
Bit of handbags after quali, Morris is not happy with Kieran Ryan who may have blocked or rammed, I totally missed it #legard'd.
Broadcast will hopefully be up for the start of the race, ill keep you informed. Good news is Ponissi won't be racing tonight.
Q2 - Morris starts 6th with new team mate Perkins a creditable 8th, he swapped seats for this race with Walker who starts 11th.
Q2 - Consiglio improves to a 1.07.950 to take pole by 7 tenths, order remains the same except Rowland who sneaks into 4th behind team mate DCS.
Q2 - End of quali now fast approaching, predictably Consiglio on pole by half a second from Jundt, DCS is third with Pavel 4th. Morris down in 7th.
Unsure on the stream tonight so I am back with the ever unpopular twitter updates. I'll inform you if the stream becomes available.
