The 2005 Superleague season was the sixth GPVWC Superleague season. It used Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix 4 and saved qualifying and race files were submitted to the league for checking and classification.
Contents
Format
The qualifying, race and in-season testing sessions were all driven off-line and the saved game files were then submitted to the GPVWC for validation and classification in accordance with set deadlines. Saving the game at any point (for the session to be continued) was unrestricted.
The top twelve finishers scored points in the race.

New entries
At the end of the 2004 season four existing teams came under investigation by the administration and all were asked regarding their presence and commitment to the league. The teams under investigation were Woods Racing, MMRT, Puma F1 and JTM. Of these only Puma F1 were granted entry to the 2005 season, resulting in space for 3 new entries. The successful entries were Bracciano Racing, Jagforce Precision Racing and RTT GreenVipers.
Team changes
Having withdrawn from GPVWC in early 2004, Ted Cragg's Stealth F1 outfit sought a return to the Superleague but were initially denied an entry at the start of the season. However the team bought the SCUM team halfway though the season, which was rebranded as Stealth.
The Woods Racing team were another denied entry at the start of the season. The team were allowed to return midseason however, taking the place of MMC Racing who had decided to withdraw from the Superleague.
