Trinity

Trinity is the brand name of the supplier branch developed by Woods Racing. The brand was launched at the beginning of the 2013 season, and its first product was the 'Trinity TRIN001' engine, which powered Woods, ST Racing and Nijo Racing. The 'TRIN002' engine was developed for the 2014 season, powering Woods, Nijo, Torrent Motorsports and newcomers Target Racing. Nijo's victory at the 2014 Malaysian Grand Prix was the only time a non-Potentia engined car won a race that year.

At the start of the 2015 season the engine-bidding process led to major controversy and an unprecedented 5 teams with Trinity TRIN003 engines: Woods, Nijo, Target, Kernow Sport and Phoenix F1. This was one of several factors that led to a sweeping reform of engine regulations, including the nullification of customer teams aiding engine development. This has arguably hampered Trinity, statistically the weaker of the four engines so far in 2015. As of mid-season, Trinity's best result has been a single third-place finish.
