Simsoa team boss (and F1VWC Governing Body member) Lawrence Simpson held a brief press conference today to announce Simsoa's first Race Driver signing for the 2004 season:-

Earlier today, Lawrence Simpson and Martijn Vosselman had a 20-minute phone call confirming that he will be Simsoa's front man for the 2004 campaign. Press flocked outside the Guildford HQ of the Simsoa team clammering for questions answered from the manager himself. Lawrence was amazed at the presence of the press on his front doorstep.

Half an hour later, the press were ushered into the Press Building and Lawrence answered questions for them. One particular question from a young journalist was "Won't this guy just simply not turn up? I mean, your luck in the F1V (F1VWC) is not steller and you didn't score any points last year. How can you be sure he won't desert you?", as usual, Lawrence laughed off this comment and replied, "I can assure you, that Martijn won't 'desert' us because he is VERY comitted to show his talents to the world. You should see him in the new car. WOW!"

When the new car was brought up, questions were asked about the date for the launch, "Well, we have to finalise our sponsors, but we can reveal that we hope Sony Ericsson and BP (British Petroleum) will be our two main sponsors, and we would very much hope that Mercedes-Benz will be powering the green and white 'minty-fresh' cars! It'll be about late December when we will reveal the SA-03V."
