The Puma team today have possibly enjoyed the best test session so far, beside the somewhat radical rear wing assembly being covered up from the press:

?The cars rear slide has now been sorted and the car feels so much faster and stable although today we have gone for the basic shakedown of three chassis, each I took control of. The cars performed as we expected and tomorrow is hopefully conditions being as today we are going for either a race distance run or a speed run. We are very eager to run the car over a race distance as the most the car has ever run in one go was in fact today. So everything bodes well.

?We are currently looking at our prospects with the Porsche power plant, we hope for a very long exclusive future with Porsche but to do this we have to design everything around the power plant, which as a driver and a team manager worries me, as a team manager I am seeing this year as a development year, and although Porsche have asked for one point, which we think is a achievable we are going to talk to Porsche and ask for a rest bite in case of that one point being elusive.

?The engineers and Porsche seem to get on very well and as I have said before we want stability in the team, which we also hope Porsche are looking for.

?To that point I will soon be contacting the drivers to ask them about how they feel the future will bode for them, I certainly hope in the driver we have signed and not loaned we can keep, although Marek is a very good driver I am unsure of the Eire?s plans for him.

?We don?t want to undermine any plans Eire has for its team but here at Puma F1 we need to build a steady team to get results, and we will be in talks with Eire shortly, but I cannot say anymore.

?As for the rear wing it was on display at the launch but the released photos where somewhat ?designed? to hide the design of the wing, which we do feel is perfectly legal. I would like to add that the cars design has been sent to the governing body for review.
