After their point at the Nurburgring 2 weeks ago, Simsoa knew that they would suffer at Canada and suffer badly. But, contrary to speculation, the team did much better than they thought they would.

David Brown qualified 13th and Javier Aparicio qualified 15th which proved that the Cosworth powerhouse is catching up with the rest of the field.

"I believe we did better than we had planned here" said Lawrence at Simsoa's public de-brief, "we knew that the car would be hurt on the long Casino straight and that would be the best oppurtunity to pass us. But the car's ability to turn in better than before has really helped in the twisty corners of Montreal."

In the race, David had climbed to 11th and Javier holding his place in 15th. Is this the first glimpse of things of a new, more competitive SA-03V?

We'll see at Indianapolis - but again the team will have to cope with another long straight!
