Both EiRE Jaguars finished within the top 6 at British GP. Scott Whiteman lost his second position in the very last lap, but was able to score a confident 6 points. Mikko Jakonen finished at a poor 7th position, which reduces his lead to 10 points to Whiteman in the Drivers Championship.

Daan van Renswoude qualified 3rd and finished his comeback race at a tremendous 6th position.

We asked Ross Loram what this means for van Renswoude and EiRE:

"Well, it means his long break from competitive sim-racing certainly hasn't cost him his pace! Also Daan qualified well so i'm sure his future results will only get better from here until the end of the season. It is no secret I no longer enjoy participating in this league so I am very happy that EiRE, a team I still enjoy a good relationship with, has found a driver as capable as Daan to take over from me. I will be watching out for the EiRE results for the rest of the year, I always believed Scott would win the drivers title and now he has a capable assisitant in the shape of Daan I'm sure the team will go on to take the constructors title."

Although the constructors title is still 35 points away, EiRE is confident that it is still possible. If Daan van Renswoude stays with EiRE for the rest of the season is not yet determined, but it would definetly bring EiRE forward in the constructors championship.
