The Simsoa drivers and team were riding high after qualifying with 4th and 8th...but by the end of the weekend, they were looking very put out but still happy with the solid performance from both of the drivers to finish 9th and 10th just out of the points.

David wasn't happy despite finish in single figure positions for the second race in a row. "I'm not really in the mood to talk about it...put simply, what could happen did happen!".

It wasn't an understatement! David's car had a fit of electronic viruses which hit the car's CPU during the race. Not only that, but handling problems hindered his fightback, but the problem was cured with a new steering wheel fitted on his second stop.

After the race, Lawrence looked slightly down, but still retained his ever-optimistic demeanour, "We may have lost a great chance for points, but the qualy session was sheer luck for us as the other drivers were conserving their fuel loads and not altering their dry setups. But we're happy with our first double top 10 finish of the season nonetheless!"

The next race at Monza, a power circuit with the cars on full power for 70% of the lap will be a hard time for the slower engines, but the much sought-after reliability of the Simsoa Cosworths with only 3 retirements in 26 car entries (only 1 was mechincal) could push the peppermint cars up the order past the more powerful, but less reliable grunt boxes!
