FinOz plays down the title chances

After securing 3rd and 4th places at the Italian GP FinOz Racing team boss Kari Koski plays down the chances that FinOz could challenge the constructor?s championship anymore.

Team manager Kari Koski shared his thoughts after the hot and exciting Italian GP:

?Although we got the best team points tally again in 3rd time on a row, it looks like our chances to catch Mapes-VO are very slim at the moment. We have gained 10 points over Mapes-VO in last 3 races, but we are still 31 points behind and there are only 3 races to go. 3rd and 4th places at Monza were good, but not good enough as Jakonen finished in front of both of us and also Peter [van Oostende] was on the points too.?

?I?m happy for my race pace, race was very difficult but at it the end it was one of the best drives I have had this season. Too bad Mikko [Jakonen] finished in 2nd place and Steve is now 16 points behind. We will do our best for sure, but both champs looks to be quite far at the moment. But anything can happen on motor racing, you need to drive the last lap at the last race before you can be 100% sure? Koski continued.

New car is right on schedule

Kari Koski commented also the "FO-005" situation:

?We will focus to make our car a bit faster on the final test session for the FO-004 car, then we will focus for our next year car. New FO-005 will hit the test tracks in late November. But now we have more important things to do, there are still chances and we won?t give up before it?s over.?

?Now we head down to sunny Spain where we test setup and aerodynamics for the next French GP where we think we can be very strong also.?
