Shortly before Saturday morning practice, there was confusion about who would be partnering David Brown for the Brazil race.

Initally, Juha Tanskanen would be the replacement, but was then replaced by Nazario Nuti. Most of the managers swooped on the Simsoa garage including a severely irate Juha and Kari.

30 minutes later, Lawrence walked to the press office and issued a public apology:

"I would like to make it clear that I deeply regret what has transpired so far this weekend. I apologise to Juha and Kari as well as any other people I may have upset over this matter. I am sorry. As you know, Simsoa is keen to have good relations with everyone in the F1VWC and I wish that it remains that way. However, Nazario will still race for us here, but I hope that we can all learn from this mistake and make sure it doesn't happen again."

Lawrence then walked back to the Simsoa garage looking very pale and bleak, unlike his usual self. Perhaps this slip-up may change his outlook on the league. Who knows? We shall have to wait until race day to find out.
