Xan F1 Racing is a new team in the GPVWC, of course we hope to get some points in 2001 but we need to be realistic. Our drivers are very enthusiastic about racing and think they can get some points. We hope that they can manage that but it would be a great thing if we end in the top 6. Maybe this is to high for a new team but our contracts with Jordan, Mugen-Honda and Michelin are very good. They will provide us the best they can."

"Shaun was very good in the test and we expect very much from him. He wll be our first driver. We hope that he can finish in the top 10 of the driver's championship. He's very confident and thinks he can score regulary for our team."

"Greg Paswater will be our second driver. He needs more experiences in the races but we think he can be fast. If he can get a point sometimes and doesn't get last in the driver's championship then he has done a good job."

"Our car is hopefully reliable enough to get our drivers to the flag. We have choosen for a balance between speed and reliability. This means that we choose for the Jordan chassis and the Mugen-Honda. The Michelin tyres seems to be a good choice but there's nothing you can say before the first race."

"We hope that we can battle for both championships in the future and think that this will be a great first season in the GPVWC."

"We will launch a website after the test to get in the GPVWC. This needs to be sure because it is a lot of work. The adress will be http://www.xanf1-racing.f2s.com."

Number 1 Driver, Shaun Marshall, Commented:

"XanF1 have a very good package to be very competetive over the coming season. I think that the Michelin tyre's will give us a lot of grip and the Mugen-Honda engine is a tried & trusted unit to power the Jordan Chassis. I think that I can achieve top 8 finishes throughout the season and am looking forward to working with Greg as I think he can push me all the way. I don't believe that we can win the Championship straight off but will be fighting for the top 4 places in the Championship at the end of season. I also think that we will be able to get finishes in 90-95% of the races which will also stand us in good stead for the Championship. I wish everyone a good safe year and I hope that we are all friends at the end no matter what the result."

Number 2 Driver, Greg Paswater, Commented:

"I am 30 years old, married for 5 years to a wonderful wife named Traci. This last July, we gave birth to our first child Shane. We reside in the state of Indiana, within the United States. When I am not working, as a banker, I enjoy golf, investing, computers, and all forms of racing."

"I look foward to the upcoming launch to GPVWC. The team was formed at the last moment, however everyone at Xanf1racing has been very kind and supportive. Knowing that I am driving for a team dedicated to being successful made my decision to race for Xan easy. Looking at the season to come, I hope to continue improving and run clean races. Being a rookie driver, my personnal and team expectations are simple......compete to my best ability and improve everyday. I feel if I can accomplish these two objectives, both Xanf1racing and myself will be greatly rewarded."
