Qualifications for the 2008 European Grand Prix produced a result destined to have lasting consequences on the Championship battle as Mark Wicks scored a pole position while his closest rival in the standings, Laurentiu Albu, failed to record a time and will need to start his race from the pit lane.

The Cornish driver drove a clean lap and was able to outqualify both Nordsjoens, with both Scott Whiteman and William Ponissi appearing in great difficulty on the Nurburgring track. Nordsjoen clearly isn't going through an easy period lately, but it is comforting to see both cars recording a time.

The qualifying session also brought a disqualification, with Jeroen Jansen seeing his otherwise very fast lap taken off the standings due to a faulty technical condition on his car.
