Belami Racing star Laurentiu Albu put one hand on the GPVWC Drivers' Championship trophy with a solid drive in the Belgian Grand Prix. The Romanian driver led from pole to the chequered flag, and capitalised on Mark Wicks's absence to increase his Championship lead to 25 points - a potentially match winning margin considering Albu's current state of form.

Mal McKee collected a fine second place, closing in to just one point behind third-placed William Ponissi, while Jeroen Jansen once more failed to finish the race.

In the Constructors' rankings, Belami Racing is now 11 points ahead of Nordsjoen, with Woods trailing one further point behind.
