From seemingly nowhere a new team has arisen in GPVWC. Constant Racing, owned by Joe Consiglio and Mark Stanton will be powered by Renault in this it? formative year. United by friendship and a shared vision for racing, the team hopes to be regular points scorers from the get go. Speaking to an excited Joe Consiglio at the car? launch, he shared how the team came about and what his new role would entail.

?ark and I are good friends in real life, in fact we only live down the road from each other. Earlier this year we joked about creating a team called Constant Racing, obviously with the name coming from the Con in Consiglio and the Stant in Stanton. After Japan a slot opened up, Mark approached Will about filling the position and before we knew it Constant Racing was born. Secretly I?e always dreamed of heading up a new team and with Mark as lead driver all the signs are very positive.?/p>?ets make no mistake here, we both own the team but Mark is team manager, my role is mostly advisory. I?l also help out with marketing, promotion and recruitment but Mark is really fronting the team. I? very happy to be contracted to Nordsjoen, they?e given me a superb car and an excellent team-mate in Adam Rouse. Therefore I have no intention of driving for Constant Racing this year. In fact one of my first objectives is to find a strong driver to partner Mark. The car looks great and although we?e slightly behind in terms of development, I think experience will be the key to hopefully some strong results.?/p>Later we caught up with Mark Stanton. He talked about his striking livery design, new role as manager and personal targets for 2009.

?espite the late start to the year, I have no doubts that we can start to gain points in our first races. Even though team ownership and management is a new area for me, I? excited to take up the challenge and look forward to fighting for constructor? points and to getting a second driver on board. Especially as there are a number of new drivers looking for their break into the series.?/p>?oth myself and Joe are very happy with the new car. Originally a Yellow/Orange livery was discussed, but having looked at the rest of the field, it was decided that a Red/White car would stand out much better. Our newly contracted sponsors Lucozade, Nintendo, Kodak and up and coming band Cenacle are excited to see the team progress.?br />
