December 07, 2001
Today there was a lot of activity at the Barcelona track with one of the GPVWC Drivers who is competing for the 2002 World Championship taking part in their testing session. It started off very slowly with complete shake down in the morning making sure that all things were in order on the car. There was much secrecy over the identity of the driver. When asked of one official conducting the testing session whom it may be, The Official said. "For confidential reasons we can not name the driver as all testing sessions are closed and results will be made official to the press after the 8th of December once the sessions are complete".

Late in the afternoon, as the anticipation was too much to handle, we heard the sound of a V10 engine roar into life. We thought the waiting was over, but we were premature as the car never actually left the pit garage. We did actually get a glimpse of the driver but with his back to us and putting on his helmet we were unable to confirm who it was.

When the car actually did hit the track, we were able to see what seemed like some moderately quick and consistent laps, but without the use of the official timing screens we can not confirm the exact times of the laps.

As more information comes to hand on the testing sessions we will try to keep you informed.
