Syneregtic Motorsport called a press meeting on Wednesday morning to announce their 2011 Superleague driver line-up. After the surprised media arrived at 10:00am at the team's headquarters in Belfast, they found the room decorated with a German, Scottish and Northern Irish flag hanging on the wall, and David Garret`s "He Is A Pirate" banging out of the teams surround system.

After a few minutes of waiting the son of team owner Mal McKee, Luke McKee came through the door and told the media that his father sadly couldn't be at the presentation due to a back injury. He continued his speech with a message from Mal: "I'm sorry I can't be with you today, have fun lads". Then Luke's drivers presentation began.

"First of all, I want to make it clear that we don't have a No.1 or No.2 driver - we are a team so nobody will have to let the other pass cause of team orders, everyone has a fair crack at it" said McKee. "Our driver with the No.11 this season is the current Supercup champion, Christoph Lichtenstein. We are very proud to get a champion in our car and we are sure that we will reach our targets with him. The No.12 car will be driven by Mr. Samuel Millar, he is a very big rising talent with a very bright future infront of him."

McKee went on about the team's expectations for the forthcoming season. "Our aim for the season will be Top 5 in the constructors and the top 10 with both drivers; we know that we have a young driver pair but both Sam and Christoph have a mature head on their shoulders, have already driven one season in the Superleague and they both know how to develop a car and get the maximum out of the setups. I'll now hand the microphone over to Christoph."

The young German took the microphone with his usual flamboyant fashion: "Yo, lads. First of all I wish you a wonderful morning and I'd like to thank everybody who congratulated me to my title in Supercup. After a good season with the Yellowbirds team I hope to improve even more in the Synergetic team. Right now I will hand over the microphone to the team's sunshine, Samuel Millar and we will see you on the buffet in five!"

Millar had a fair bit to say about his team: "Hi guys, thanks to everyone for showing up today. I've thoroughly enjoyed my first year at Synergetic in 2010, and we kicked it off with someone who is no longer in the team as he has moved on to pastures new and that's Liam Hatchell. I was very happy that I could perform well in the car on my debut at Bahrain and show that I have what it takes to be in this team. I had a fantastic battle all race long with Liam, with some very, very close wheel to wheel racing which hopefully also proved that I'm a safe but hard racer. Unfortunately though as the season developed bad reliability struck our car through no fault of the team's and let us down for some very good results. That being said, however, I was happy to pick up a podium for the team in Monza."

The Scot closed the press conference with some bold prediction for the season: "Looking forward to 2011 however we are confident that we will take a strong package to the opening tests and opening rounds of the calendar. We hope to continue this development process like Luke said, and aim to finish in the top 5 in the Constructors championships. We shouldn't get too far ahead of ourselves but perhaps that better results will come our way. Cheers!"
