After a long off-season, the new debutant team OZ Racing is beginning their final preparations for the 2010 Superleague campaign. New kid on the block Scott Bennett has been employed by the Oz Racing Factory to drive the #25 car for this season. We were able to get an exclusive interview with the 18-year-old before pre-season testing takes place.

Q: How does it feel to have a seat for the 2010 Superleague season with Oz Racing?

Scott Bennett: Well, amazing to be honest. I thought I might have a chance at the odd good finish in the Megane Winter League, but I had no idea I'd be in with a shot for a Race seat with a team it's just a bit of a shock overall.

Q: It's hard for a new team to make an impact on the grid, how do you feel your chances are this year with OZ Racing, being a debutant yourself and with a debutant team?

Scott Bennett: Well being a new team, anything at all could happen. but I feel there is still a good chance for strong finishes. Me and Richard have proven to both be on a Similar pace, and if the Megane League is anything to go by it could be promising.

Q: Is there a year to wait for any kind of real results from the team being new, along with fairly new drivers and manager, Or do you believe you feel the team overall will make a impact from the start?

Scott Bennett: I think it could be a bit hard to tell now, before any kind of pre season testing but who knows? anything could happen?

Q: Richard spoke about in a press conference earlier in the week that no driver at this team is number 1. Has this statement Motivated you differently, compared to some teams clearly having a number 1 and 2 driver?

Scott Bennett: It certainly makes me feel like there is a strong sense of equality in the team yes.

Q: You've been nicknamed in the past as Trulli. Do you believe you will hold that type of reputation in the Superleague this season?

Scott Bennett: Haha! Well hopefully not, after all, a reputation of making the so called "Trulli Trains" is not exactly a prestigious award. so with a bit of luck that nickname can be dispelled.

Q: What are your aims for 2010?

Scott Bennett: Well looking at some of the competition so far, and considering I am after all, a Rookie, in a Rookie team. any sort of Podium would be a Huge success in my eyes. and to do it more than once would make me ecstatic. Not wanting to set some over achieving targets. but if we can squeeze Oz Racing into the top 4 teams, frankly, to assist in that would be my Main Aim for 2010.

Q: Thank you for your time Scott last question can you tell us what the car will look like for next year?

Scott Bennett: I'm afraid that's still under wraps for now. There should be news about it in the near future though.
