Triple-Double Racing laid out the foundations for their 2011 challenge today, with the announcement of both their GPVWC Superleague driver pairing, and also their Supercup pairing. In front of a moderately sized gathering of various media outlets at the team headquarters based in Bicester, Oxfordshire, team manager Ben Warren appeared excited to announce the team's drivers for the upcoming season.

Warren said, "It gives me the upmost pleasure to be able to announce to you all today, what I consider one of the strongest driver lineups to be appearing on the grid this season. For a rookie team, and also a rookie manager in myself, I consider being able to sign both of these drivers as a real coup, and an opportunity that simply could not be passed on. Both drivers come with experience at the very highest level, and have both produced some excellent results for their past teams. I'm sure it will come as a shock to a few people that we've been able to acquire these drivers, but their experience, and natural talent will only help Triple-Double Racing to develop into the team we want it to become. So without further ado, I'd like introduce to you all, our 2011 GPVWC Superleague driver lineup. First of all, please welcome Phil Perkins to the team! When it became clear that Phil was looking for a full time drive for the upcoming season, it was an easy decision as to whether to approach him with an offer or not. Negotiations were swift, and we are delighted to be working with Phil this season! We weren't sure if it was going to be possible to acquire the services of our next driver seeing as he'd been a part of undoubtedly the strongest team in the paddock last season, but when he made it clear he was interested in joining us, it was full steam ahead in getting his signature! Please welcome Adam Rouse to the team!" Warren himself will take the official tester and reserve driver roles for the Superleague team.

With Triple-Double Racing now boasting an experienced and exciting lineup for their first endeavour into Superleague, expectations for the little known team will surely grow. However, no announcements on the latest car other than the name are forthcoming. "The simply titled TDR-01 should be ready for launch in the very near future", said Warren. There was also no announcement on what engine supplier TDR will be partnered with for the season, but again, Warren reiterated this should be sorted in the next few weeks.

Warren also announced the team's first foray into the GPVWC Supercup for the 2011 season. Warren will undertake a full season in GPVWC Supercup as a driver, along with little known Estonian driver Pavel Loknovski taking the team's second seat. Warren said of Loknovski, "Pavel is an excellent, and naturally fast driver who I've been able to compete against in other championships in the past, and I believe he is a future GPVWC Superleague star."

The team is now looking forward to the beginning of Winter testing.
