Nordsjoen's Joe Consiglio topped times in the penultimate pre-season testing session, held on the Italian track of Monza. The Maltese ace clocked a convincing 1:20.461, with less than one tenth of a second separating him from rival Lee Morris. New Constant Racing recruit Fernando Laaff was third while Consiglio's teammate Jyri Lylykorpi continued to show signs of improvement with a fourth place that puts him back in the list of top drivers in the run up to the opening Australian GP.

An impressive 7 drivers finished within one second of the leader, with Mark Stanton fifth, Sam Millar sixth and Dave Carr-Smith seventh on the lone Midnight Motorsport. The test session in Monza saw drivers alternating long stints to hotlaps on a track that clearly invites drivers to push their cars to the limit.

Reading down the timesheets, results of note are yet another twin performance by the Woods drivers, this time joined by their Welsh counterparts at Computrac, and the great performances by Mal McKee and Dan Rusu, a pair who are showing a better understanding of the 2011 Superleague contenders each race.

The session also saw the first taste of track activity for Nordsj??Racing's new recruit Georgios Davakos, called in to replace Mindaugas Maciulaitis.
