The most epic race in the history of the GPVWC. Many races had been given this title in the past - Silverstone 2009, Singapore 2009 - but the display on show tonight, without the shadow of a doubt, eclipses each and every one of them. Lee Morris and Joe Consiglio, the two main protagonists of the Championship, put in an amazing performance, battling away the last 12 laps for one of the most memorable finales in the history of simracing.

Consiglio and Nordsjoen might have thought they had the race in their hands when the Maltese ace made a daring maneuvre on his rival stick with 6 laps to go but, despite a dogged defense and some of the most exciting racing ever witnessed, the Draig Racing driver was able to exploit the only inch of space available on the last lap to seal a famous victory and, with it, his hattrick in 2011.

Qualifying saw another Morris/Consiglio battle, the Nordsjoen driver clinching his third pole of the season; Sam Millar on Synergetic and Jyri Lylykorpi were close, slightly more than 7 tenths away from the leading duo. Behind them, the two Red Archer were split by Dave Carr-Smith, while Woods Racing continued its poor qualifying form with Kieran Ryan in 10th and Mark Wicks once again out of Q2.

The starting lap saw Sam Millar leapfrog Consiglio and Morris, leading the race for a while; as the 2-stop strategy emerged for most of the leading drivers, however, it was once again a close battle between Morris and Consiglio, who had the chance to cross wheels in several occasions as their almost matching strategies meant the race would be decided by details. A botched pit stop by the Nordsjoen crew meant Consiglio had his work cut out and had to chase his rival in his last stint - and after closing down the gap to less than a second, the two drivers gave all viewers a memorable show.

Behind the two leaders, Sam Millar collected another useful podium to establish himself firmly as "best of the rest" in this start of season, followed by David Jundt (at his third P4 in the last three races), the two Midnight of Rowland and Carr-Smith, Wicks, Muscat, Lichtenstein (at his first points of the season) and Mark Stanton.

The result sees Morris climb to 45 points, a full 21 ahead of Jundt and Consiglio, with Sam Millar in 4th place. In the Constructors' Championship, a somewhat more matched situation sees Draig Racing leading, followed by Red Archer 8 points shy and Nordsjoen in third.
