The success enjoyed by the GPVWC Supercup at the start of the 2011 season has been highlighted by the news that two teams have joined the competitors' roster, bringing the total number of teams up to 13. PB Racing makes a comeback after having narrowly missed on the Championship with Chris Williamson in 2010, while Greek outfit Water Blue Racing will make its debut in the Chinese Grand Prix.

Managed by Georgios Davakos, Water Blue Racing will feature the former Nordsjoen Racing driver alongside Ihab Abbas from Egypt, the first driver to represent an African country in the history of the GPVWC. Rookie driver Lewis Redshaw will replace Davakos at Nordsjoen.

"The team has lots of experience when it comes to open wheels" said Davakos; "We hope for a good start as both drivers got lots of experience and we have also seen how I, driving for Nordsjoen Racing on the 3 first rounds, have managed to finish within the points in the first 2 races."

PB Racing, instead, will see manager Tom Parker return at the helm of the team, with new hot prospect Simon Cattell and Superleague driver Tim-Oliver Wagner at the wheel.

Following the increased interest in the series, the GPVWC Administration extended the number of available team slots to 15 for the 2011 season.
