Triple Double Racing have secured the services of the quick young Belgian Bart de Vos. With Adam Rouse stepping down from driving, TDR were seeking a new talent when they were approached by de Vos enquiring about the vacant seat. Team manager Phil Perkins took no time in drawing up a contract and making the youngster the newest member of TDR.

Perkins was quoted as saying that, "Bart is currently leading the Supercup Championship at GPVWC and is said to be an upcoming talent here, this is why I took no time in snapping him up to drive the #23 car starting from France this week. Hopefully he will get up to speed with the way the Superleague cars handle compared to the Supercup and can be up there competing for points in his first race."

De Vos responded to a few questions from the media regarding the move.

Q : Are you still intent on racing the Supercup as well as the Super league now or are you just going to concentrate on Superleague?

A : I'm surely going to keep competing in the Supercup, I am doing well this season and see no reason why I should stop racing.

Q : What made you choose TDR to make your debut in the Superleague, as you were rumoured to be signing for Williamson Dynamics?

A : TDR just seemed to be the most certain option and the fastest way to get racing in the Superleague because at Williamson Dynamics it would be a contract as test driver.

Q : Have you had chance to take a drive in the car yet? If so what are your first impressions?

A : Yes I did have some time in the car, not much I still need to adapt to the car. The car seemed fine and with the upcoming updates it should get better.

Q : What are your expectations for your debut race and also the remainder of the season?

A : For my first race I hope to finish the race and maybe score some points, that's also the goal for the remainder of the season: score some points on a regular base.

The media present then went on to question Manager Phil Perkins about the season so far with TDR.

Q : Phil, the season has run six races so far and main points have been from Adam Rouse. Is there any specific reason for this?

A : Well Adam seemed to be able to get the most out of the car we had and, to be honest, I have had a bit of bad luck during races getting mixed up in others' incidents usually which has caused damage to the car and made it worse than it already is.

Q : You insinuate that you have a bad car -how so?

A : Well the car is quite well developed but not all of the upgrades have worked how we would have expected them to, so for now we have a car which can without pre warning just snap the rear end on you. We are working around the clock to get this sorted and source what is the problem. Also, the Toyota engine isn't as good as it said on paper which has been a big let down for us too.

Q : Do you think your season will get better from now and how do you intend on turning your streak of DNF's around?

A : Well it certainly can't get any worse, can it? One thing that may help me is improving my qualifying runs and getting away from the mid pack a little bit so that's one area I must concentrate on. Next is just getting used to this car being under powered somewhat and a little slidey, but plans are afoot to improve my season and hopefully that will start at France this week.
