Joe Consiglio moved one step closer to Championship leader Lee Morris with a win in the Italian Grand Prix in Monza. Joining Adam Smith for the customary post-race Press Conference are race winner Joe Consiglio (MLT, Nordsjoen Racing), runner-up Lee Morris (ENG, Draig Racing) and third placed Pavel Loknovski (EST, Nordsjoen Racing).

Q. Joe, With four races to go, you're 11 points behind in the Championship, this must be motivating?

JC. Yes it is! I'm trying to focus on winning each race as it comes really. The Championship is still open and a DNF for me or Lee would be really costly at this stage. I have to say Lee drove a great race today, I did not expect to see him finish 2nd.

Q. Looking at today's win, is it safe to say that the Nordsjoen is coming of age at this critical stage in the season?

JC. Yeah, we're pretty close in both Championships now so we're definitely a team on the up. The car is really good and fortunately seems to be suited to most types of tracks. Hopefully we've not left our charge too late!

Q. Finally, Joe, Can you outline any upgrades that are due for the last 4 rounds of the season?

JC. You'll have to ask Mr Ponissi about that! To be honest I'm not sure if we're getting anymore from now. The team invested a lot over the summer break and we don't want to compromise next year's car. I doubt we'll have any major upgrades for the rest of the season.

Q. Thank you Joe. Lee, you finished second today after only managing a top 5 last race, can you highlight anything you did correctly today?

LM. Today I drove a perfect race, I made no mistakes at all, which really helped me today to second place. I drove 53 qualifying laps and took 2nd place, while others made mistakes we kept our head and it was a great result.

Q. Were you at all worried when Loknovski managed to close the gap between yourself and him for the second time?

LM. Yes, I was on the absolute limit and I was trying everything to keep a gap. I knew he would eventualy get me and I think he would have possibly and very probrably had 2nd place which would have been hard to keep for myself. But we had some good fortune and in this milkfloat I'll take anything that comes my way.

Q. Finally Lee, After today's performance and with 4 rounds to go, how likely is an appearance on the top spot of the podium for you?

LM. Unless Joe has any issues, I don't think I can beat him in a race, he and his car are just too far infront, and he is driving very well. I really don't mind if he wins it as he is a true gentleman! My one target to beat him is Singapore as it's a street track and I think I can make a difference there, but for the Championship I MUST beat him somewhere!

Q. Thanks - Good driving from the both of you today, well done. Pavel, today we saw you battling numerous times and making mistakes, where do you feel you could of finished had the race gone completely your way?

PL. Completely my way? Pretty sure I would've been up there with Joe. Constantly checked standings during the race and we had same pace when I wasn't fighting anyone. So yeah, It would've been really close between us.

Q. From an outside perspective, the team looks to be heavily focussed on limiting points available to other teams, was that the aim today?

PL. With the car we have ,we only aim to finish 1-2 every race from now on. You saw how many mistakes I made today and was still in contention for 2nd place after all that.

Q. Finally, there's been rumours of you being unable to attend races in the last 4 rounds, can you confirm this and what you are potentially missing?

PL. Yes it is true. Tom was ready to replace me in Monza already. Basically, I have to probably move to another place at one point and whether I have internet there I have no clue. Because I have no idea where and when I'm moving to new place. It's job related.

Q. Thank you all - it was a fantastic race. See you in Spain for the next round of the Superleague!
