There is a certain inevitability about it, a new team with limited resources; are they really going to do that well? In 2011 the answer was most definitely “yes”.

Midnight Motorsport surpassed all expectations to finish a superb fourth in the team’s championship behind only eventual protagonists Nordsjoen Racing, Red Archer Virtual Racing Team and early season front-runners, Draig Racing.

The entire team fought valiantly against the performance deficit to the top teams which resulted in the team notching up it’s first win at the Monaco GP courtesy of a vastly experienced driver in the shape of Dave Carr-Smith; a further four podiums were achieved throughout the 2011 campaign leading to Midnight Motorsport receiving the ‘Best New Team’ award at the GPVWC 2011 Award Ceremony, an achievement of which the team remains incredibly proud of.

Nevertheless, there is little time to celebrate as the 2012 season draws ever closer. It is with this in mind that we today unveil our driver lineup in what we hope will be a very successful year for the now seasoned Manchester based squad.

First and foremost, we are proud to announce that veteran racer and team boss Nick Rowland will remain at the helm of the team, piloting one of the two MR-02 machines throughout the 2012 season.
