ST Racing’s driver announcement did a lot to increase the interest in a star-studded 2012 season in the Superleague.

ST Racing will be entering its third year of racing in the GPVWC Superleague in 2012. 2011 was not a good year for the team, despite the best efforts of No.1 driver Dave Stanton. Team principal, Mark Fuller, had one of his worst seasons to date, experiencing many teething technical difficulties.

Fuller stated at the end of the 2011 season that “St Racing had had a disappointing season. We’d managed to develop the car pretty well compared with some of our competitors, but perhaps lacked a bit with the engine package that we had. We did see though when a couple of guest drivers took the car for a spin, the potential of the car. We are therefore optimistic about the 2012 season and hopeful of signing a good engine deal”.

At the end of the 2011 season, Dave Stanton announced achieving a personal ambition in driving in a team with his brother. This led to team principle, Fuller, casting his net for a new No.1 driver. As soon as the season closed, extensive testing took place amongst several hopeful drivers aiming to join St Racing for the 2012 season. This culminated in a head-to-head session at the team’s local track. ST Racing is pleased today to unveil their driver line-up in what they hope will be a very successful year for the Chandler’s Ford-based unit.
