As well as all four driving positions having been filled, Synergetic Motorsports also now has a full compliment of staff. US Chief Designer Nathan Hellman was sick of doing the same old thing in Nascar, and decided to make the bold move to the top echelon of motorsports.

Team owner Mal McKee said, 'He's good in some areas, but he has to learn in others. I'm hoping he'll improve over the season.' Danish Commercial Manager, Jacob Iversen, has plenty of experience in securing sponsorships and is a welcome addition to the team, already working hard to attract new sponsors. Finally, Chief Mechanic is consistent British crew leader Jake Lambert.

Rumour has it that testing will begin at Synergetic's private testing area in Belfast later today or tomorrow, while I livery isn't expected until a few weeks after sponsorship deals are secured. 'The livery, eh? Well, it might remain similar to the last few years, or there might be a radical change. I haven't decided yet, and it depends on securing sponsorship deals to an extent,' said McKee. 'We might end up painting some 'go faster' stripes on her!' he added.

Also, as expected, Ojay Clark will be filling in as Manager while Mal flies off to attend to some business. The transition is expected some time today and Clark will be filling in this role for a few days. 'Ojay is excited about it, and so am I. I think it's important to keep drivers in the loop, and I believe Ojay knows what I need and has a keen head on him. He may have some very important decisions to make in the future, but I'm hoping to keep in touch with him on a regular basis and give him any guidance he might need. Giving Ojay the reins for a while will help give him a greater understanding of how the team works. I believe in a very open relationship with my team anyway,' announced Mal at the press conference last night.

Ojay is expected to fill in the role again shortly after the start of the season proper.
