Green Stripes Racing started its first Superleague campaign by signing three high-profile personnel, but the announcement was overshadowed by the signing of highly-rated Dave Carr-Smith as reserve driver.

Team Manager Christoph Lichtenstein briefly introduced the new roles being filled at the team:

"Chief mechanic: I'm glad to announce that we secured the services of 41 year old German Martin Naumann who will surely provide us some high quality work.

Chief Designer: the next German in our German-British outfit will be the 44 year old Jonas Achen, who has already told us that he put all his great skills together to give us a great motorcar which it will surely be.

Commercial Manager: the last guy to complete the personnel is 50 year old english Sponsor expert Dominic Barlett; with his expierience he is surely a good choice to be competitive in the sponsors bidding."

Lichtenstein then moved on to cover the real big announcement of the day.

"The 4th Driver for the team will be Dave Carr-Smith, a very well known person to everybody of you who will now introduce himself."

"Well, it's no secret that I have been searching for opportunities throughout the grid" said Carr-Smith. "Green Stripes Racing was kind enough to offer me an opportunity to get involved with what appears to be a very promising team for the future. Yes, a 4th driver role is a bit of a step back compared to what I had expected when we finished last season, but I'm really looking forward to helping Christoph, Matt and Chris progress throughout this season.I think that the team can surprise a few people that's for sure.

Hard pressed to reveal some targets for the season, Carr-Smith was evasive. "It's difficult to say. My primary objective is to help the team achieve its maximum potential for the season, we've got a lot of work to do, but with my experience and the motivation that the other three have to succeed, I'm sure we can achieve the team's goal for the year. It would be nice to get some track time during an event, rather than just in testing, but we'll take that as it comes, and if it does, I will simply do the best I can for the team."
