Kernow Sport Manager Mark Wicks called a press conference to announce the linking up of the Superleague debutants with a returning engine manufacturer for the 2012 season.

?It is with great pleasure that I can now officially
announce Audi to be Kernow Sports
partner and engine supplier for the 2012 Superleague season.

?Audi have a fantastic motor-racing heritage, particularly
in sports-cars of the last decade, but modern Superleague racing is new to
them. They are enthusiastic and up for a challenge of producing a power-plant
capable of competing with, and beating, the dominant likes of Mercedes, Renault
and Ferrari.

?We feel Audi give us the strong platform we need in our
debut season. And with them we have the potential to deliver great results.
Their engines are very reliable and fuel efficient, and they won?t be too
lacking in outright power compared to the usual suspects? engines. Helpfully
they come at a fraction of the cost too. Audi have come to us with a very
dedicated team and persuaded us they are the right crew to team up with.

?We look forward to the season ahead working with our new
allies, and scoring great results in the process.?
