Three-time World Champions Nordsjoen Racing launched their 2012 contender during a ceremony at the team's headquarters in Cardiff.

The NR005, whose livery by Adam Rouse is in an evolution of the award winning paintscheme of the NR004, presents an aggressive design which the team's drivers have designated as "fast from the go". Joe Consiglio and Pavel Loknovski truly put the chassis to work in the first pre-season tests, scoring some of the best times in both the session in Imola and the one in Austria.

Team Manager William Ponissi is delighted with the livery and with the results obtained so far. "The car is a stunner" said the Italian, "we are lucky to have a talented artist such as Adam in the team and he produced another classic. If the car is as quick as it is pretty, we are in for a very successful season."

When asked about the main challenges for Nordsjoen this season, Ponissi played defensively: "Pre-season testing is a moment where you should forget about the times. Teams are testing different bits and bobs of the car and they are obviously keen to keep their cards covered until the season opener. We think we know who the main threats to us will be, but right now we are focusing on doing our job to the best of our capabilities."

"Tjalle van Beveren, our Chief Designer, did a great job with the base car and we will be able to add some new upgrades well before Melbourne, so we are confident we will be at or near the top come the start of the season. We also know our rivals are working hard, and if there is one thing we learnt from ten years in the Superleague is that everyone can spring a surprise."
