It has been announced today that Test Driver William Tringas will drive for Red 5 Racing at China. This will be Tringas's second race drive in 2 years, as he replaces the unavailable Ben Morgan in the number 20 car.

Team Manager Gavin Thomas had this to say, "William is a truly great talent, we've seen this with his victory in the GPVWC 2011 Race of Champions, where he won with his team mate Lee Morris."

Thomas was then asked about the availability of Morgan, to which he responded, "Ben is still the team leader here, he has things on his mind, he needed a sabbatical to sort these issues out. He goes off to our Official retreat down in West Wales to relax for a while and hopefully will come back fully refreshed for Abu Dhabi!"

When asked about the cars apparent lack of pace in Melbourne, Thomas had this to say, "We are working hard on the upgrading of this car, we're not as developed as other teams, however, this month will see a glut of upgrades being brought into the garage to better the car. Come Abu Dhabi, we'll have a very good idea where we'll be for the season. I'm sure we'll be fighting at the sharp end really soon, the important thing is for Will and myself to put pressure on the top 10 and try and get as many points as possible from this Chinese track, which has a high attrition rate!"

With that Thomas left the podium, returning to the Aberdare factory to oversee the Research & Development of the car.
